Kirkland Ranch is one of those places that you'll want to spend time just exploring. Spanning 120 acres, this venue boasts views of grape vines and truffles, 5 hiking trails, a stocked pond for fishing, private river access, and panoramic views of the Shenandoah Valley (just to name a few). Axe throwing, horseshoe, horse boarding, horse hitches, and funny gnomes (hidden and fun when you spot one!) can be found throughout the property. A beautifully reserved 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home with a full kitchen and dining area can easily sleep 10 guests or more. You will find many antiques and unique finds like an encased, custom built motorcycle that truly make this venue a unique place to stay.

Simply put, this venue is for you if you love breathtaking views, enjoy outdoor activities, and likely own a pair of hiking and/or cowboy boots!

The History:

Kirkland Ranch was purchased by Howard & Kay Kirkland in 1962, a property that once housed many horses and cattle. After living in the Shenandoah Valley for a year in 1955, they longed to move back after planting their roots in Long Beach, CA. They returned to Amador County when they received a phone call from some friends about an 120 Acre Ranch and built their dream home, which became known for hosting many community events. In 2018, Greg, Jim & Dena became partners at Kirkland Ranch and have completed many projects around the property to make it picture perfect for your wedding or special event.

As you can imagine, this venue has many different options for a ceremony and reception site. Some notable areas are:

Ceremony/Reception with views the "Dena's Pond"
Ceremony/Reception under the Walnut Trees (plenty of shade provided)
Ceremony at "Kay's View"

This venue can accommodate parties of all sizes and has plenty of parking. Portable bathrooms can be provided based on number of guests.

The Fine Print:

Guests can rent the home for their wedding weekend (additional days can be added based on availability)
Portable bathrooms are needed
A generator may be needed (power can be supplied to the Walnut Tree Reception area)
Heels are not advised at this property
Transportation via SXS Vehicle will be needed to get to "Kay's View"
Food trucks and mobile bars permitted
A private chef can be recommended upon request, and has full kitchen access
This is a no smoking property
Amplified music must be turned off by 10pm
