Top 2 DIY Disasters to Avoid at your Wedding
Hello friends! DIY (do it yourself) can be a great option to save money at your wedding, however I would seriously avoid DIY’ing these 2 things to save yourself time, stress and worry leading up to your wedding day (after all, the last thing you want is to take on these big tasks)!
FLORALS
Florals take time and labor to select/design, prepare, arrange, transport, store, and set-up. They are also tricky because it’s one of those things you have to do last minute. The last thing you want is to do is worry about assembling bouquets, centerpieces and boutonnieres the morning of your wedding. I’ve worked with florists and can tell you, it takes hours to prepare those floral arrangements seen on Pinterest. At the end of the day, it’s totally worth it to hire a professional to take this off your plate.
FOOD
Not many of us have cooked for 40, 50...let alone 100+ guests. Caterers who are experienced in preparing food for large numbers of people have everything down to a science. The last thing you want is your family to spend hours in the kitchen instead of kicking back and relaxing at your event. Yes, you may save some money on this but there are SO many things that could go wrong here: ie. not prepping enough food or not having the proper equipment/set-up. If you’re worried about saving money on food, there’s so many great non-traditional ideas now that can cut down on costs (we’ll talk about that another time).
